Pumpkin Spice Latte: Taste-testing to find best in Fayetteville
"Rude Awakening’s Pumpkin Pie Latte was a clear winner...Rude Awakening, which opened at 227 Hay St. in 1999, ranked highest for best overall among our judges, who also gave it first place for balance and complexity of flavors, and true “pumpkinness.″ First reactions included “nice aroma” and “smells spicy,” while Thomas Pope said it had the “nicest mixture of flavor and coffee” and he would “buy it ... maybe more than one.” Beth Hutson described the flavors as “pumpkin spice, pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, not too sweet.” And Myron Pitts commented, “Nice burst of flavor. I do taste pumpkin.”
